Get to know some of our wonderful staff members of Aiea UMC

  • Rob Lloyd,  Senior Pastor

    Pastor Rob Lloyd comes to us from Virginia, but is no stranger to Hawaii. He served the Kapolei United Methodist Mission and was active in the Hawaii District of the United Methodist Church. He retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Army with the Judge Advocate General (JAG) and then completed his theological studies at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D. C. Rob’s passion is to lead and encourage people to go ever deeper in their faith and in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ, His wife, Lisa, a retired Army colonel with the JAG, is also a graduate of the Wesley Theological Seminary. Rob and Lisa both enjoy travel, movies, and music. They have two grown children, Mary and Wesley, and three grandchildren, Kyle, Elise, and Sawyer.

  • Joseph Siofele, Associate Pastor

    Pastor Joe has been our Samoan language pastor for over almost 2 decades. His gentle spirit & abiding faith makes him a natural leader. Joe and his wife Su'e have 4 children & 4 grandchildren. 

  • Sarah dale, director of christian education

    Sarah has worked as a Sunday school Teacher at Deep Creek Baptist Church in

    Chesapeake Virginia, and in numerous other childcare and public school settings. 

    In 2013 she completed her Bachelor’s of Education Studies with Ashford University Online. Sarah is married to her husband Andrew, a service member in the United States Navy. They have two children, Keira (9) and Tobias (5). When not serving in the church, Sarah can be found writing Women’s Fiction Novels, having self-published her first novel in March 2018. She also enjoys reading and meeting new people. 

  • karen Carlisle, bell choir director

    Karen has rung handbells for more than 40 years and directed youth and adult handbell choirs for over 27 years. She is an accomplished solo ringer and a clinician for handbells, doing maintenance work for numerous choirs. She graduated from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Karen has lived in Hawaii since 1995. She's married to Dan, and has two lovely young children.

  • jon palompo,  Rainbow (vocal) Choir director

    Jonathon-Michael Palompo is a native of Vallejo, California and moved to Hawaii to help start a church with his family. He is currently enrolled at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa studying to obtain his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. Jonathon has worked with many choruses across the island including the Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus, the Leeward Community College Choirs, the Voices of Aloha touring choir, and the various choirs featured at UH Mānoa. Jonathon is also a member of the St. Andrews Cathedral Choral Scholars and the UH Mānoa Chamber Singers.
