  • Samuel Nam,  Senior Pastor

Pastor Sam is an ordained elder in the California Pacific Annual Conference and has served in various churches in the Cal Pac over the last 17 years. The son of a United Methodist pastor, Pastor Sam grew up all over Southern California and went to high school on Oahu.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and an M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary.  Pastor Sam is married to Minhee and they have three children.

  • Joseph Siofele, Associate Pastor

Pastor Joe has been our Samoan language pastor for over 2 decades. His gentle spirit & abiding faith makes him a natural leader.

  • RONDA ORR, Rainbow Choir director

Originally from North Dakota, Rhonda has lived all over the US (and the world) since marrying Joe in 1984. She has been in a growing relationship with God since her high school years.  Music, vocal and/or instrumental, has always been a big part of that relationship, whether just the two of them (think prayer closet, only at a piano) or with others.  Rhonda's hope and prayer is that whatever happens musically at AUMC, it will bring honor and glory to God, and bring our AUMC ohana closer to Him.

  • karen Carlisle, bell choir director

Karen has rung handbells for more than 40 years and directed youth and adult handbell choirs for over 27 years. She is an accomplished solo ringer and a clinician for handbells, doing maintenance work for numerous choirs. She graduated from the University of Hawaii with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Karen has lived in Hawaii since 1995. She's married to Dan and has two lovely young children.

  • Falefia Misiluti, Samoan Choir Director

Fa has been a part of our Aiea UMC for over 20 years. He was born and raised in Samoa, and discovered his love of singing at around age 7. He is a self-taught piano player that can reciprocate a melody after hearing it only once.  As the Samoan Choir Director, he composes, records, and layers his music for worship services. Looking forward into the future of the Samoan choir, he is excited to collaborate with our Rainbow Choir and prepare for joint performances! Every one of his three children were raised within this church and his family continues to grow.
